About Glorieta Volunteers

This blog is for past, future and potential Glorieta Volunteers and is designed to keep all of us in touch with one another and fully informed of the program and its’ many opportunities and needs.

It is also designed to make known to all our extended “family” urgent prayer needs as they arise. So, please let us know how we can join together in praying for your needs!

At this time Jim McAtee will be doing the  weekly Volunteer Blog update.

I was supposed to arrive at Glorieta today, May 28 and work the month of June. However, I have been having some very difficult pain with my feet due to my rheumatoid arthritis. It is very difficult for me to walk and stand. Also, I will be having ear surgery on June 15. Seems like I have an extra hole in my inner ear and it is causing some extreme balance and dizzy problems. All to say I will not be able to come to volunteer this summer. I will miss being there with friends is God’s wonderful place. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Love to all. Barbara Fowler, Austin, Texas

Sherri, I cannot log in. When I tried, I may have hit the wrong key. Please resend the volunteer information where I can sign in. Thank you, Nancy

Does anyone have information on the design of the prayer garden? The current staff claims to not know about it’s past but When we were here in the past there was an information sheet about its’ design and we recall that Winston Churchill’s son-in-law was the designer but no information is available on the internet. Thank you!

    • Dear Marnie,

I’m forwarding your recent comment to our former director, Hal Hill, so that he who has far more knowledge of previous years here on campus can respond to your very good & informative question, okay?
